#Implementation Details

The mirror for vanilla season 8 world downloads will be hosted on Storj DCS (I considered Cloudflare R2 too, given the storage costs difference here) under mc.cdn.andreijiroh.xyz (mainly to put the new domain in use).

  • Download world downloads, preferably from other mirrors or official website
  • Compare checksums (not needed when through torrenting/P2P) for safety
  • Upload to storj:/world-downloads/hermitcraft/vanila-s9 folder
  • Setup read-only access to bucket under specified custom domain (with Cloudflare as TLS terminating proxy instead of EU1 Satellite doing the work)

This is being in the works in the form of the global devbox config in my home directory, but currently this is on the back burner for now due to school, obviously.

Sure we can use Substack Notes, but I would prefer going to the fediverse, even it involves Medium membership for ~recaptime-dev's admin account there.

Currently, we're on mastodon.xyz even through domain suspension due to unintended CSAM chaos was occurred days ago.
