I think it will be much better to let the user add its own prefered player, also each IS is different. in my particular case I currently use newsboat and I can add a config option to play on VLC or MPV etc..

~rek2 that is something that I had been debating on, so I have added it to the criteria of this TODO. But in the future could you send items like this to the beagles-discussion mailing list, that way the TODO items can be kept clean.
