#250 Pass integration: *-cred-cmd fails silently 2 years ago

Comment by ~cmpadden on ~sircmpwn/aerc2

~tho, it has been working fine for me.

YMMV, but here is an example account configuration. Make sure you use pass and not pass -c, which may be muscle memory.

source = imaps://username%40gmail.com@imap.gmail.com:993
source-cred-cmd = pass gmail
outgoing = smtp://username%40gmail.com@smtp.gmail.com:587
outgoing-cred-cmd = pass gmail

I have also noticed this behavior, and would love to know of a workaround.

I apologize, I accidentally created a ticket by "searching" in the title field. I'm surprised it went through with no description!

#126 socksify not available on all distributions 2 years ago

Comment by ~cmpadden on ~sircmpwn/aerc2

It appears that tsocks is available on MacOS, but I don't think unshare, bwrap, or socksify are available, though I may be overlooking something. It would be nice if the chosen implementation uses a package that is also available on MacOS.

#166 Disembodied emails when composed via vim on macOS 2 years ago

I also experienced this issue, and resolved it by setting the following in my aerc.conf to start vim without loading my vimrc.

editor=vim -u NONE

Thank you - I confirmed that this resolved the issue.

Were the incorrect settings in the config because the config was initialized from an older version, and it's not updated on install?
