I guess Scribe isn't intended for censorship resistance, though this ability would be nice to preserve at least. I would argue that this feature could make experience of people where Medium is blocked, and links to Scribe instances increase in popularity due to lightweight and content delivery without additional tools much better, and having proxied/cached images could be important.
Bandwidth should be much smaller problem for self-hosters, so couple of settings for this feature would be very nice. (From proxy everything via genius approach of ~unbeatable-101 with click to load and to current way of operation.)
