This error still seems to occur in my setup with aerc and notmuch. In my config auto-mark-read is off. Whenever I mark a message read/unread, it takes roughly half a minute before I am able to see any other message text again. In this time the log file fills up with the above mentioned error messages. Is there a solution to this problem apart from deleting all non-conforming messages?
