~ihabunek/tooi#13:
Hometown's unfederated posts

Hometown (a Mastodon soft fork) has the ability to mark a status as unfederated, so it's only displayed to local followers. we should have a way to do this from the status composer.

need to find out a) how to discover this feature exists, and b) how to post such a status.

All the different flavours of mastodon will be the end of me. : )
Perhaps it's discoverable via /api/v2/instance?
Do you know of a live instance we can test on?

my home instance (https://ni.hil.ist) uses Hometown so i can test there, but it doesn't allow public signups.

Darius, the maintainer of Hometown, maintains his own instance at https://friend.camp/about -- that's also closed to signups, but perhaps he might provide an account for testing?

6ce7dd2d894af6cd4a09a202d3aba6d4277d6ad3 now marks local-only posts when displaying them in StatusDetail.

still need to add support for posting them.
