Actually i played with it and it does work.
I feel that using a different git system is not conducive to the gio project getting developer uptake. Why did you decide to use such a different approach?

I am excited about gio but detest using sourcehut to collaborate on the project.
I hate the monopoly that GitHub has but I would prefer if
the project is one GitHub.
Can you elaborate on the specific pain points you have with Sourcehut?
If we stay on Sourcehut, can you specify what we could do to make it acceptable for you? For example, the Go project use a bot to convert Github PRs to Gerrit CLs.

I also wanted the ability to access the camera. The use case is to build a webrtc app using the pion golang lib.
This of course raises the issue of native plugins in that the WASM version will be different from the iOS and Android version. Even opening a file / folder picker dialogue varies per OS.
But golangs ability to use build tags and system calls should not make it too bad.
