The play button being on the left is pretty typical, but the remove button being so far to the right big feels in your face.

Most other players would have the remove button behind a more options sub-menu, but obviously you don't want to do that here.

I would suggest moving the Remove column inward, in front of Artist and behind Genre to match the Play column. It might not feel right, but it's worth testing.

It looks cool, but it should have some sort of functionality.

Maybe quick access to all playlists to reduce clicks?

Each square within the grid would have a thumbnail of the album's art. I'm not sure if this would slow things down too much though.

If this is done, I would still have the directory name displayed under each square in text.

If I start playing a song in a directory, once it's done it should play the next subsequent song like an album would.
