I would like to request an optional mode where you can long-press a key to get a different symbol, which it types when you let go. I would rarely need other layouts if I could do that. Optional of course as I'm sure not everyone would want that since it would prevent key repeating. Are the layouts editable like with svkbd?

I see! Hopefully it's not too difficult to fix. In the mean time my workaround is working fine.

It's definitely not a necessity, but besides bluetooth not working, sound in Flatpak applications doesn't work without it. But if it's not manageable, then that's a pretty good reason not to switch, yeah.

I fixed it. Apparently the WMCLASS for Firefox is now
"Navigator", "Firefox"
. This causes the sxmo_wm.sh script to put out only Navigator for the app name. Changing*firefox* )
to*navigator* )
in sxmo_appmenu.sh fixes the problem.

What remaining issues are stopping Sxmo from using Pipewire? Also, why not use Pulseaudio until Pipewire is ready?

When I swipe down from the top of the screen while in Firefox, there used to be a custom menu with things like Pipe URL, etc., in it. Now that just brings up the main menu. I'm on SXMO 1.5.1.1-r0 on pmOS.

I'd like to try SWMO but I can't find any instructions to install it. Is there any documentation?

Yeah I just edited the sxmo_modemtext.sh file slightly. I don't think I'm ever gonna need to keep a draft across a reboot. If it crashes or freezes or something I can just rewrite it. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion of symlinking stuff, that helps a lot!
And thanks for making this UI, it's great.

It also writes SMS drafts to there as well. It used to write them to /tmp, but now it writes them to $LOGDIR/$NUMBER/draft.txt. Wouldn't it be better to put them in /tmp/$NUMBER/draft.txt?

I have setup my /tmp to be a ramdisk, to save on writes to the eMMC. But I've noticed at some point SXMO started storing temporary files in the home folder. Is there a reason for this change? What's the best way to change it back?
