~mil/sxmo-tickets#159:
Planned v1.3.0 release

I'd like to start planning a bit for the next release. I submitted a whole bunch of patches this weekend and hope we can release it quickly because it contains some vital fixes for calling.

I'll take care of the merging myself but wanted to give it a day or so for initial review, then merge it into master and give it a few days for testing, if you agree.

Issues that will be fixed are:

  • #156 - With introduction of eg25-manager, the modemmonitor stops when receiving calls
  • #157 - There should be an option to end a call
  • #158 - screenlock display off mode does not actually turns the screen off: burn-in problem
  • #116 - Reliable incoming calls from crust
  • #149 - Add icons to menus and status bar, using fonts
  • #151 - Replace cp with install in Makefiles
  • #137 - installing findutils breaks userscripts
  • #128 - Use file permissions instead of setuid
  • #86 - sxmo-screenlock does not block multitouch events

I think it's good to merge into master for now. We can tell everyone in irc to run the sxmo-build script and run that for the next couple days. Thanks for all your work ~proycon!

In regards to #158, is this fixed by properly turning off the display or just by displaying a white screen? I can't imagine that's good for battery life, has this been tested?

By displaying a white screen, yes. But I see your comment there, which is a way better solution, so I will implement that for upcoming release.

I merged everything into master now, so please test the coming days (you can use the sxmo-build script for that)

If you don't use the sxmo-build script but compile sxmo-utils manually, make sure you run "rc-update add sxmo-pinephone default" afterwards. If you don't see the icons, make sure you install one of the nerdfonts (https://pkgs.alpinelinux.org/packages?name=font*nerd*&branch=edge ), Fira Mono is a good one for example.
