I think the sxmo-svkbd fork (with the pinephone patches) should be included in the next release.

I'm still not convinced we need to fork again, but I agree the new svkbd should definitely be in the next release. I'm working on a vibration/clickclack tool that can be kept outside svkbd, and hoping that to be ready for next release too.

I think the dpi changes suggested in #193 should also make it into next release, as well as the idea approved in the "close windows more gracefully" patch (https://lists.sr.ht/~mil/sxmo-devel/patches/20662).

We also need to make the sxmo-pinephone script for openrc more generic, as request by upstream postmarketos: https://todo.sr.ht/~mil/sxmo-tickets/169

There's also the issue of switching to tinydm (https://todo.sr.ht/~mil/sxmo-tickets/163), but perhaps that should be postponed one release, unless someone is eager to pick it up.

#155 and #184 should def. be fixed, as it renders alot of startup scripts useless with the ENTER key being sent until another keypress happens (hw buttons or svkbd press)

Potential fix is disabling the auto key repeat of X (XAutoRepeatOff) until logged in

Potentially major issue: #214 -- failure of mkinitfs. If the initramfs gets out-of-sync with the rest of the system due to a failed mkinitfs, users may get non-bootable devices. This should be fixed by simply making the boot partition larger, as done in this patch for sxmo-image-builder.

Some things that are still pending for next release:

• merging svkbd changes upstream (patches have been submitted, awaiting review)
• I'll have to merge a few of my proposed patches still (I waited for a while to gather some feedback)
• when we release we need to update release various packages (postmarketos-ui-sxmo, sxmo-dwm, sxmo-utils, sxmo-st, sxmo-dwm, sxmo-xdm-config, clickclack (new!), svkbd)

We're closing in on the release, I already released the following:

• lisgd 0.3.0 (and is already merged upstream by Alpine)
• svkbd 0.3.0 (released at suckless, merge in alpine pending: https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports/-/merge_requests/19870)

Merge request for PostmarketOS is a WIP and can be found here: https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/merge_requests/2067

Thus far it contains:

• sxmo-dmenu 5.0.9
• sxmo-xdm-config 0.3.0

The rest should follow tomorrow I hope.
