I've noticed that on swmo/sway, if the keyboard is already brought up when you tap the "reply" option for a text, vis will close when you click colon ":"
You have to tap "reply" and let vis come up first, then you can bring up the keyboard and send your text normally.
This only happens in swayland, on X I can have the keyboard open already and it has no issues.
I'm on pmOS edge with latest packages.
I have the same issue, even when the keyboard is not brought up. Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce the bug when manually calling vis, so I don't know how to get an error message that would make it easier to understand what's happening.
The only workaround I found for now is to make a detour through : Main menu > Text > Send text > Select the contact > Vis opens and works correctly. It only seems to happen with "Reply" and "Conversation" options.
By the way, I'm up to date with SWMO version 1.8.0
Okay, I got more info : It actually happens when ANY window is already open in the current workspace. Which means even the workaround I was talking about previously can fail if there's a terminal window open. Which means it might not be a vis issue but maybe related to sway?
Getting somewhere: It happens when the vis window is not in the first position in the workspace. Moving the "reply" window to another workspace makes the bug disappear.
I can reproduce.
Hi all, we have released 1.8.2 that fixes this issue by using vim as the default. It seems that most of the maintainers had issues with vis so
Seems fixed in 1.8.2! Thanks!
