I think this is a double of https://todo.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc2/399

#399 Reliably reproducable panic, tied to outlook 2 months ago

It seems this bug is gone in the latest master, maybe the update for go-message fixed it? Though I thought I checked when that commit came in and I still had to apply my patch. But now with https://git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc/commit/126c9437e8bd6374a432a8af6cfe3e6d5227dcc2 I don't have to apply my patch anymore it seems.

Heres a patch with a quick workaround - according to the aerc devs this isn't the proper solution but it will fix the issue for now and was tested with the imap and maildir backends: https://cloud.bitwaves.de/s/feyPjwacAtnKxfd

Heres a mail that always causes the crash for me - the go-message developer said it must be down to something aerc does because he can't get go-message to crashw with it: https://cloud.bitwaves.de/s/wXwBiGwGg7rYD94

It seems like I can only get this to work when I use {{if eq .OriginalMIMEType "TEXT/HTML"}} (note the uppercase string) - with a lowercase string the eq fails - so the example in the docs doesn't work. Though I don't know if the example is wrong, if the .OriginalMIMEType should be lowercase or if the eq shouldn't be case sensitive :)

Same here, also only with an outlook account and certain messages.

#401 Can't assign Control-number combinations 4 months ago

Ticket created by ~normen on ~sircmpwn/aerc2

In release 0.4.0 I don't seem to be able to assign Control-number combinations like <C-1> or <C-2>, when I try I get an error saying "unknown key ".

I also found no way to assign the backspace key. <Backspace> is unknown and <BS> gives no error but also doesn't seem to work - the command isn't executed.

To reproduce add combinations like this to binds.conf

<C-1> = :cf INBOX<Enter>

<BS> = :close<Enter>

Thanks for this email client, even in its current state its already my favorite!

Cheers, Normen

#277 Panic while navigating folders 4 months ago

Comment by ~normen on ~sircmpwn/aerc2

I see the same behavior, when quickly going through the folders there seems to be some async issue, sometimes it doesn't react at all anymore, sometimes it simply doesn't seem to load data from the server anymore (I can select messages but the viewer stays empty).
