Dear Robert, Thanks for building this great package! Being able to print the Crit. Ed. with translation side-by-side is really a game changer! That said, I am having problem with the alignment function. The last page with the translation (second of two total columns) is not getting printed. There is nothing different in the pattern of: \begin{edition} ... \end{edition} \begin{translation} ... \end{translation} on this page. I was wondering if this is a bug that happens to longer files (although my last page for this text is supposed to be on pg. 29, not that long)... I would upload my test file, but there isn't an upload button here. My .tex file is too long to paste into this box, even if that was expected. Thanks, Dotno
sorry about the vagary about columns: there is only one translation column. (tcols=2, lcols=1)
Thank you for your interest in ekdosis!
What should you get on p. 29? Just plain text? Could you try to insert a
\flushpage
just before\end{alignment}
to see what happens, like so:\begin{alignment} \begin{edition} ... \end{edition} \begin{translation} ... \end{translation} \begin{edition} ... \end{edition} \begin{translation} ... \end{translation} \flushpage \end{alignment}I would upload my test file, but there isn't an upload button here. My .tex file is too long to paste into this box, even if that was expected.
You could do this by just sending an email with an attachment to this tracker. However, in an ideal world you should try to reduce your file to a mwe. Alternatively, or in case you can't do the reduction easily, feel free to forward your file to my personal address.
Thanks so much for the help! I think the \flushpage command has done the trick!
Yes, the last page only had text (with some ekddiv headers as § numbers).
ok then.
\flushpage
may not be necessary in case your edition text is followed by further pages such as a commentary or some backmatter material. This command basically flushes all columns and starts a new page.
