Right now it only starts as X11 client and Wayland client, so I have no choice but $ cage wio
Bizzare, it should just werk on the VT.
But it doesn't on my Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBD 80QQ, it simply takes away input without producing any output, but if I'm lucky it crashes and I don't reboot my laptop.
Wio has probably missed out on some breaking changes in wlroots.
It could be that due to wlroots changes, the compositor must now explicitely enable and commit to an output when running from the VT. I submitted a patch to add this, which now let me start wio from the TTY directly. See https://lists.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/wio/patches/15055
