html support would allow for links, tables, lists, etc for instance and community descriptions. This would make it much easier to use it as rich "sidebar" type content with rules, moderator lists, links to external resources or other communities, etc. Since description is the only existing metadata type field.
I think user descriptions could also benefit from these things with links to images, social media profiles, etc.

Either would be functional, personally i would prefer a stream over polling but it's just a preference.

It would be nice to have an endpoint that streams new post/reply info to a specified community or via a filter (aka /r/all) to facilitate creating bots.

This would be a great feature to have in Hoot

To attach to this, if the feature does get implemented can we expose the permission in the include_your response on the community info request?

Use cases such as marking a community or post as NSFW, or as part of a feature to enable user/post flairs in general.

This would be very handy to facilitate a dropdown list of communities you're subscribed to without having to load the list of all known communities.

Does that require any lotide changes? It sounds like something a frontend could do by attributing replies to the parent post rather than to a comment.
