The geometry package used in the backend and as set up in https://git.sr.ht/~sthagen/liitos/tree/default/item/liitos/templates/setup.tex.in#L144 needs to be told when to skip (and break the page) in sync with the footer.
Propose to inject footskip=1.8cm (same amount as the bottom value)
