By the way, I see some strange characters in log... It could be an issue as well.

Reproduce steps:

  1. Create directory in $HOME/.config/services/
  2. mkdir new-dir in $HOME/.config/services/
  3. Make symbolik link with ln -s some.service new-dir/
  4. Start superd -D $HOME/.config/services/new-dir

May you describe please how to do it? Pipewire definitely needs dbus but I'm not sure about mpd.

How do mpd and pipewire communicate? If it's through dbus, then you'll need to make sure both superd and mpd have the same dbus session address set (there's an environment variable for it.)
