90% of my Fediverse apps use takes place via mobile devices. I would love to use a Mastodon app to post to my microblog.pub instance.
The web version works pretty well on mobile devices (I use it a lot on mobile).
I am not against making improvements if you have some feedback, but the Mastodon API will never get implemented.
it would be a ton of work to add initial support and keep it working.
It just does not align well with the spirit of the project, which is having a minimalist single-user ActivityPub instance.
I understand… Using a mobile client makes things much more efficient to me, but I know that maintenance becomes trickier. Thanks a lot for your work anyways! If needed, I will open an issue with feedback about responsiveness.
You could look into tangram. I just installed and tried it and it could be a nice platform to run with the web interface. Still have to check it on mobile.
What about the client-server AP protocol: https://www.w3.org/TR/activitypub/#client-to-server-interactions?
~pkal, Unfortunately, I don't know any client, using the client-server AP protocol, if you know one, I will be glad to the work to support the API.
