hi,

wdyt if we were to prepopulate the database with all files and provide a web ui for guix locate across all subscribed channels?

in addition to a public symbols tab we can have a files tab in the web ui

This would not be practical to implement because it would require downloading all the packages in order to render the output of guix locate.
