The search results look cluttered because all versions of a package are displayed.
http://gpo.zugaina.org/Search?search=mpd is a good example of showing packages versions on a package's web page.
Hi,
This is a nice idea. Maybe we can have a meeting at some point in the near future to discuss the implementation and whether it is worth pursuing.
Would you be interested in implementing or pairing on this feature?
- I can't write guile scheme, yet. My programming knowledge comes from other programming languages. I can understand what's going on without learning guile scheme to a degree.
- I'm a dedicated gentoo linux user for now. I have considered gnu guix, but I decided to not move to it for now because gnu guix ecosystem is slow or uninterested with ZFS support. I use encrypted ZFS file systems extensively on gentoo linux. Adding zfs support to initrd will require coding and submittion to nonguix because guix maintainers are afraid of lawsuits from Oracle.
- I still write tiny scripts here and there, but I want to retire from extensive coding and focus mostly on ideas. I don't like being too much of a computer expert. I want to spend less time with inner details of computers. We can discuss ideas if you want on telegram or anything else that's not a proprietary video conferencing software. zoom was flaky on my gentoo linux system.

More precisely, I am a tinkerer who wants to focus on UI and UX rather than internal code.
I can help with basic program architecture, but I am not an advanced programmer.

After pondering for a while, I realized packages with the same name may not actually be the same program. Thus, the current way is not bad.
However, I found different improvements.
I will submit new issues that explain things in a way that doesn't require a meeting.
Can you close this issue?
