Interface idea:

[now ?format]: returns the current datetime in the specified format, with yyyy-MM-dd as default added in 2023.704.0

[date ?text]: sets the text as the document date with [now] as default (\date in LaTeX, adding it to the title as well as some kind of metadata in HTML)
